A Zuni artist created this stunning Needlepoint Squash Blossom set.  It has 148 little pieces of genuine Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and is accented with tiny silver beads.  The star flower shapes are attached by a double strand of sterling silver beads. The bottom horseshoe-shaped piece is called a Naja. It is a good luck symbol borrowed from the Moors’ culture of Spain. The Zuni Indians of New Mexico are known for their ability to hand cut tiny stone pieces and bezel set them in beautiful patterns.
